Brunch at Shaya New Orleans

Shaya

Address | 4213 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70115

In the heart of the vibrant city of New Orleans, where culinary traditions are as rich as the culture itself, Shaya stands out as a haven for food enthusiasts seeking a unique and unforgettable brunch experience. Nestled in the historic Uptown neighborhood, Shaya has gained renown for its modern Israeli cuisine, innovative twists on classic dishes, and an inviting atmosphere. Among the myriad dining options in the Big Easy, Shaya shines as a must-visit destination for brunch aficionados.

Begin your brunch experience with one of Shaya’s craft cocktails. Rounds of the Tavi Spritz (aperol, strawberry, montenegro, prosecco, and soda) and the Pear A Porter (white port, rosemary, pear cognac, honey, lemon, herbal bitters) and cava made it to our table, a festive and tasty part of the meal.

Shaya's brunch menu is a celebration of flavors, expertly crafted by Executive Chef Alon Shaya and his team. The menu incorporates local, seasonal ingredients, resulting in a truly unique gastronomic experience.

A star of the menu is the freshly baked in-house pita and served with an array of tantalizing dips like hummus and baba ganoush. The combination of warm, pillowy bread and flavorful spreads is a testament to the restaurant's dedication to authenticity and quality.

The salatim is an excellent start to your meal at Shaya. It includes a curated selection of small dishes that span the spectrum of tastes and textures. From creamy tahini to vibrant vegetable medleys, each component of the salatim is a celebration of freshness and culinary artistry. We chose smoked labneh, Baba Ganoush, Moussaka, delicata squash, and Ikra. In addition to this we settled on sharing a variety of small plates that included falafel, Israeli Salad, fried chicken hummus and cauliflower hummus. It was the perfect meal for sharing.
