Aruba Guide: Good Eats
There were a couple of dining experiences that I had in Aruba that I haven’t had the opportunity to incorporate into other posts, so I wanted to include a review of Chicken and Lobster and Bingo as two dining options on the Island that were enjoyable.

One of the members of our party had been told by a friend that breakfast at Chicken and Lobster was a must do. I think that the name of the restaurant may not do it justice in the sense that it doesn’t seem like the sort of place to go for breakfast, but, they serve really great waffles and Dutch pancakes. I didn’t try their famous chicken and waffles but many patrons were enjoying that signature dish and it looked really good if that’s your thing. With open air seating, you’ll find Chicken and Lobster very much has a diner vibe to it. Coffee is served in mugs bigger than you can hold in one hand with prompt refills of pipping hot liquid as needed. The menu offers a lot of classic breakfast options. We decided to try a few dishes and share.

After a day at Tierra del Sol, we enjoyed a group dinner at Bingo Cafe and Restaurant. This is a lively spot, with a nice bar to enjoy pre-dinner drinks at. With indoor and outdoor dining, the space is great for large parties. On the menu you’ll notice that there are small and large portions available to order for each dish. A few of our friends had dined at Bingo Cafe before and gave us the heads up that the small plates are rather large. Heeding their advice, we ordered two small starters and a small main plate to share and when I tell you that I absolutely could not eat dessert after, it’s all true. Stick with the small portions and you’ll be more than satisfied. The seafood dishes were the most appealing so that’s what we ordered and every dish was delicious.
