Autumn in Park City: The Alpine Coaster
The Alpine Coaster in Park City, Utah, is a thrilling toboggan-style ride that takes you through scenic mountain terrain on a gravity driven ride that is over a mile long. Riders first climb an 8 minute ascent to 4,000 feet above sea level. This steep and slow climb as a nice moment of reprieve to enjoy the mountain scape. We rode the Alpine Coaster in early autumn so the trees were turning beautiful red and yellow leaves that drifted down as the coaster climber up. Once at the top, riders are instructed to hold the levers down for maximum speed as you twist and turn down the mountain, on a two minute descent filled with thrilling moments before returning to the starting point.
