Cocktails: Grapefruit, Ginger + Tequila Cocktail

I’m really enjoying our Hamptons Guide week but I also miss sharing recipes, so when we made this Grapefruit, Ginger + Tequila Cocktail I thought it was the perfect time to pop a recipe up for you to try this weekend. Our local market has really tasty fresh squeezed grapefruit juice that I knew I wanted as the base flavor for a tequila cocktail. Tequila and grapefruit alone makes a great combination but I wanted to add layers of flavor. Originally, I considered adding ginger ale but I wanted something less sweet—a clean cocktail recipe—and without the fizz. I happened to have cold pressed ginger in my refrigerator so it was the perfect solution. The fresh ginger gives this cocktail a nice refreshing kick. If you don’t have cold pressed ginger juice on hand don’t worry, you can easily make it at home with fresh raw ginger. The instructions are included in the ingredients list.

It all came together well for a fresh summer cocktail with a little ginger kick. Give it a try. Cheers!

Grapefruit, Ginger + Tequila Cocktail Ingredients

  • 2 ounces of tequila

  • 1 ounce of 100% Fresh Squeezed grapefruit juice

  • 1 Tablespoon fresh pressed ginger juice (I used a raw cold pressed ginger but you can easily make your own. Simply grate raw ginger and squeeze through a strainer so you have the juice without pulp)
