EATS: Berries + Fresh Whipped Cream

Berries and fresh whipped cream is a very simple and light dessert that you can elevate by adding just a couple of ingredients. While we shelter in place it’s really nice to have the time and opportunity to stretch your chef muscles and make a lot of delicious desserts, and cocktails, and cheesy dishes. It’s important every once in a while to remember to reel it in and balance it out with a sweet reward that is a little bit healthy and a little bit indulgent. Berries (rich in antioxidants, high in fiber, and rich in nutrients like vitamin c) and whipped cream are great as a snack or dessert. This recipe is a saving grace when you have unexpected guests or maybe overlooked dessert and need to quickly put something impressive together. It’s so simple and tasty.

Use whatever berries are in season; whatever you have in the refrigerator. Please take care to wash your berries thoroughly. In this recipe for berries and whipped cream, we’ll dress a mix of blueberries and raspberries in a bit of fresh lime juice and honey to make the flavor pop. The cream will be fresh whipped with just a sprinkle of sugar. It’s as easy as that. Recipe and video below. Have a great Friday!
