Holiday Guide: Foodie Christmas Ornaments
Here we are in early November—in fact it’s November 2nd which means election day in the USA! If you’re a US based reader, be sure to get out and vote. In addition to voting, we’ve started preparing for the 2021 Holidays and I have some fun food and gift and decor guides to share for the season.
Today I’m kicking things off with preparing decor for the Christmas tree. In addition to thinking of unique ornaments for your own Christmas tree, consider giving an ornament with cards and gifts to your friends and family. It’s a nice touch and creates something sentimental to be shared and remembered year after year as you trim the tree.
In my family, we’re collecting Christmas ornaments that “tell our story”. They symbolize a range of things including important professional milestones, personal hobbies, travel experiences, family heritage, and personal milestones, like our wedding. One type of Christmas ornament that I enjoy are food themed Christmas ornaments. I like them because food is a celebratory part of every day life and so you might grab an ornament of your favorite comfort food, like French fries, or something that reminds you of home, like the ramen soup ornament. If you love France you might add a bottle of champagne or croissant ornament to the tree. There are so many great options and food symbolizes so many aspects of our lives—travel, cultural heritage, daily habits (coffee ornament!) and so on—that I think is a great addition to your tree.
Without further ado, here are 20 of my favorite foodie Christmas ornaments for 2021.
