NYC Guide: The Farm on Adderley

The Farm on Adderley

Address | 1108 Cortelyou Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11218

Returning to our NYC Guide today to take you to one of our favorite NYC spots for brunch, The Farm on Adderley. This restaurant is off the beaten path in Brooklyn/Ditmas Park area. Not far from the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and Prospect Park, this farm to table brunch spot is perfect for a weekend outing. The Farm on Adderley has a warm, inviting, rustic vibe. When you walk in there is a well apportioned bar and bright fresh flowers placed at the center of the tables.

On a recent visit this past week, we were glad to take advantage of their outdoor dining in their small back garden for our NYC Brunch. It was perfect for a socially distanced family meet up and meal. The menu offers seasonal food sourced from local farms. You can find a list of the farms that supply the Farm on Adderley on their website, here.

Pictured above is their Caesar Salad (little gem, fried bread, radish, goats feta, preserved feta) and the Chilled Sweet Corn Sandwich (pickled squash, house made ricotta, heirloom tomato, hemp oil, brioche). The salad is excellent with a zippy dressing and delicious house made croutons. The fresh ingredients really make a difference lending a lot of natural flavors to come out in each bite.

My sons really enjoyed The Farm Burger (pasture-raised beef, english muffin, handcut fries, dill pickle) and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich (hot pepper jelly, smoked cheddar, kaiser roll, mayo, hand cut fries). In addition to great cocktails, the beverage menu has a nice selection of Fentimans Sodas and Kombuchas.

I definitely recommend the Farm on Adderley as a delicious NYC Brunch spot. This area has a couple of other great culinary experiences that I’ll give you a more full review of for our NYC Guide down the road. If you head to the Farm on Adderley, be sure to grab a coffee and scone at Qathra Cafe. Another great restaurant to grab a meal at in the neighborhood is Mimi’s Hummus which also hosts a little market.

In current circumstances I recommend sticking to outdoor dining and to go forth and brunch as such! Wear a mask, wash your hands, and enjoy some excellent eating!

If you know of any other places you’d like me to review for the NYC Guide, comment below and I’ll check it out.
