The Hamptons: The Bell & Anchor

The Bell & Anchor

Address | 3253 Noyack Rd, Sag Harbor, NY 11963

The Hamptons enjoyed the perfect warm and sunny weather for Easter Sunday this year and we took full advantage of enjoying the day beginning with Easter brunch at The Bell & Anchor here in Sag Harbor. The Bell & Anchor offers a delightful seafood dining experience with a touch of the Hamptons nautical charm. The light and airy dining room overlooks the Mill Creek Marina. Boasting a menu featuring locally sourced ingredients and a cozy waterfront setting it’s the perfect spot for a Hamptons brunch.

We started the meal with rosé and a mango mocktail for Jack. Of course, we had to indulge in some raw bar, and went with a dozen oysters on the half shell. They were perfectly shelled and clean with a fresh and delicious taste. We also shared the classic caesar salad—hearts of romaine, anchovy, parmesan, garlic & crostini. It had a nice peppery kick.

For the mains, I decided to indulge in the Lobster Eggs Benedict which was served on an English Muffin, with Canadian bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise and of course, lobster claw. The lobster claw was succulent and paired perfectly with the poached eggs. The Canadian bacon enhanced the savory flavors of the meal. The side of breakfast potatoes were a little soft for my liking but seasoned well.

Lynette ordered the pan-roasted Scottish salmon with pearl couscous, wild mushrooms, spring peas, pea greens & the ramp-artichoke emulsion. This was really a perfect spring dish, bright and filled with fresh green flavors. The salmon was well seasoned and tasty.

After debating between sweet or savory, Jack settled on the grilled sirloin burger with pommes frites. This featured house made dill pickles, lettuce, tomato and red onion. i did not have a bite but it was devoured entirely which is a testament to it’s tastiness. I did of course sample the pommes frites and they were perfectly crisp and nicely salted.

We were all very satisfied from the meal but decided to share a dessert with our after meal macchiatos. We went with the Maple Crème Brûlée. It has a nice crisp brûléed top and the creamy center had a nice vanilla maple taste.

The Bell & Anchor in the Hamptons served a wonderful Easter brunch and it was a meal that helped make the day truly special.
