Nashville Guide: Drift Hotel
Drift Hotel Nashville
Address | 10 Interstate Dr, Nashville, TN 37213
When we returned to Nashville after a day of driving through Alabama, we wanted to stay in a comfortable hotel not too far from the airport since we had a morning flight to return back to NYC. We decided to stay at The Drift Hotel Nashville. Drift hotels are modern 4 star boutique hotels. Located in the vibrant East Nashville neighborhood and originally built in 1966, the hotel has a cool retro vibe and has been thoughtfully reimagined, blending mid-century architectural charm with sleek, minimalist interiors. With 87 guest rooms, including suites featuring kitchenettes and living spaces, the hotel provides a mix of comfort and functionality. Guests can enjoy sweeping views of the downtown skyline and Nissan Stadium from their rooms, while the property’s outdoor pool and cabanas create a serene retreat amid the city’s bustle. The hotel’s design emphasizes a connection to the local art scene, incorporating handmade furniture and curated art pieces that reflect Nashville's cultural roots.
Drift Nashville offers guests a unique and indulgent welcome gift: a tasting flight of Tequila Komos, perfectly paired with artisanal chocolate. This thoughtful touch sets the tone for a luxurious and immersive stay, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to providing memorable and sensory-rich experiences. Tequila Komos, known for its ultra-premium quality and distinctive flavor profiles, is served in a curated flight that showcases its complexities. Each tequila in the flight is carefully matched with a complementary chocolate, enhancing the tasting experience through a harmonious balance of flavors.
This pairing is not only a treat for the palate but also an introduction to the hotel’s attention to detail and appreciation for craftsmanship. Guests are invited to savor the pairing at their leisure, encouraging relaxation and indulgence upon arrival. The combination of smooth, refined tequila with rich, handcrafted chocolate creates an elevated welcome, celebrating the art of pairing and the joy of discovery. Whether enjoyed as a personal indulgence or shared with a companion, this thoughtful gesture is a memorable start to any stay at Drift Nashville.
The gym at Drift Nashville is well-equipped with modern fitness machines and free weights, offering a convenient space to maintain wellness routines during your stay. The outdoor pool, surrounded by cabanas and stylish seating, provides a relaxing atmosphere for warmer days. Although it was too chilly to swim during our visit, the hotel offered the option to have the outdoor fires lit, creating a cozy ambiance. The thoughtful accommodations make the outdoor spaces inviting and enjoyable, regardless of the season.
We went off campus for dinner so we did not try the main restaurant, but we did indulge in coffee, matcha, and pastries at the Dawn Café before heading out to the airport and the drinks were excellent and the pastries were also very well made.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the Drift Hotel. The 1 Hotel was a better location—more walkability—and provided eco-luxury which is worth paying for, but the Drift Hotel was a good location for our purposes and offered a unique and relaxing setting.
