Pumpkin French Toast Ingredients (makes 6 slices of French toast)
3 eggs
¼ cup of pumpkin puree and whisk together
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 tablespoon sugar + more to caramelize the toast
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
1 loaf Challah bread
Pumpkin French Toast Instruction
slice your Challah bread into 1 1/5 inch thick slices and set aside
in a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs
slowly add in pumpkin puree, heavy cream, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and salt
place a large cast iron skillet over medium high heat
dredge your challah slices in the pumpkin custard mix coating both sides
add about a tablespoon of butter to the skillet and place your French toast into the skillet
dust the top of the toast with sugar on each side and cook 3 minutes each side
plate and serve with a pat of butter and drizzle of maple syrup
