Hamptons Classics: East Hampton Grill

Hamptons Classics: East Hampton Grill

East Hampton Grill

Address | 99 North Main Street East Hampton, New York 11937

To celebrate Lynette’s birthday I made a reservation for dinner at a classic Hamptons establishment, the East Hampton Grill. Serving delicious American cuisine in an elegant setting accented with rich wood and comfortable seating East Hampton Grill was a great spot to enjoy a celebratory meal.

To start, we selected a bottle from East Hampton Grill’s excellently curated wine menu. We ordered a Merlot which paired well with the variety of dishes that we enjoyed. For starters, we had East Hampton Grill’s Heavenly Biscuits—infused with rosemary and served with butter and Hamptons honey. These light and airy biscuits with the sweet and savory blend of flavors was a nice treat and a delicious start to the meal. Next, week enjoyed the Crispy Chesapeake Oysters, served with a tangy cowboy vinaigrette this dish was deliciously crunchy and a flavorful seafood dish.

On to the mains! Jack is always one to order the classic Cheeseburger. Served on a homemade bun with all the classic fixings and adding an order of French fries this dish was a winner. Lynette had the Tuna Tartare with sushi-grade tuna and served with deviled egg this was another classically delicious dish. Served with toaster pointers the portions are large and you may find you need to share in order to get close to finishing! In a seafood mood, I had the Jumbo Lump Crab cakes. The preparation really showcased the rich and delicate flavor of the blue crab. I paired it with a side of freshly shucked creamed corn and the sweet and savory combo was a nice compliment to the crab.

To finish the meal we shared both desserts on the menu the Key Lime Pie (with a birthday candle of course!) and a hot fudge pecan sundae and they were both delicious.
