Hamptons Guide: LT Burger

LT Burger

Address | 62 Main St, Sag Harbor, NY 11963

A couple of nights ago, I was picking up my son from a play date and going through the list of items to pick up at the pharmacy and the market. I decided it would be the perfect night to grab dinner in town while running some errands and so today our Hamptons Guide goes to LT Burger.

The menu is the brain child of Chef Laurent Tourondel—New Yorkers and International travelers will be familiar with his portfolio of restaurants. A wide variety of burgers, including vegetarian options, are on the menu. If you’re not in the mood for a burger they also have an extensive salad menu, hearty enough for a meal.

LT Burger has outdoor seating, two top tables surrounded by Plexiglas making it a safe, socially distanced, outdoor dining experience. Between the four of us, we settled into two tables to enjoy our meal. Situated at the center of Sag Harbor’s Main Street, LT Burger is the perfect location to watch the sunset over town and take notice of the dogs and passers by.

We ordered the Route 27 ( caramelized onion, peppered bacon, smoky catchup, Mecox cheddar), The Mexican (guacamole, pickled jalapeno, monterey jack, sour cream) and two Veggie Burgers (avocado, wheatgrass, bbq sauce, whole wheat bun). They also offer the Impossible burger as a vegetarian option but it’s not the healthiest meat alternative and so we went with the house made veggie patties.

We all really enjoyed the flavors of our burgers but some of us had issues with the assembly. The vegetarian patty tasted great but easily fell apart onto the plate so we ultimately needed to eat it with a fork and knife. The Route 27 was nice and juicy but the juice really soaked into the bun again making it difficult to pick up and eat. We ordered sweet potato and classic french fries. They were crispy on the outside and tender in the center, perfect!

My sons also went in for the milkshakes, ordering the French Toast (vanilla ice cream, cinnamon, maple syrup) and Death by Oreo (chocolate ice cream, oreo cookie, chocolate syrup).

Overall, LT Burger was a fun dinning experience with some nice flavors. When you find yourself in Sag Harbor, stop by for a meal, it’ll be worth it.
