Love showing love to my favorite restaurants by sharing them with you all. Sugarfish by Nozawa has quickly become a favorite spot for meet ups and take out lunches on our NYC days (as you know, we split time between the Hamptons and NYC). I first dined at Sushi Nozawa in LA when I was an up and coming Chef at Spago BH. At the Sushi bar there was a drawing by Matt Groening (creator of The Simpsons) depicting Nozawa San at the counter. I really enjoy the simplicity of this traditional no frills sushi. Nozawa San serves the sushi as it should be eaten under the motto “Trust Me”. Do not dip your nigiri in soy sauce. This tradition has carried over into the NYC Sugarfish restaurants where you’re instructed to enjoy the sushi just as it is served. The rice in the rolls and nigiri is served warm which is a nice touch.
With spikes in COVID we have been ordering more food for at home dinning and Sugarfish has the best takeout boxes with excellent branding. We usually order a couple of the “Trust Me” sets and you can add your favorite rolls as well. The take out box includes instructions on the top lid of how to use your condiments to create the perfect bite.
