NYC Happy Hour: IRIS
IRIS
Address | 1740 Broadway, New York, NY 10019
The pulse of NYC meets the elegant rhythm of dining at IRIS Mediterranean restaurant, a haven for food enthusiasts and socialites alike, IRIS offers a wonderful happy hour menu. Nestled amidst the skyscrapers and city lights, IRIS is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience. When the clock strikes the golden hour, the atmosphere at IRIS transforms into an even more enchanting realm – the Happy Hour.
Stepping into IRIS at 4:15 p.m. on rainy NYC evening, we were welcomed by a fusion of contemporary design and warm ambiance. The soft glow of pendant lights and the muted chatter of happy patrons create a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for winding down after a long day or starting your evening in style. We were implored to make ourselves comfortable at the bar or on the plush sofas. We opted for the bar as some of our favorite friends in the city convened together to catch up over cocktails and small bites.
Happy Hour at IRIS is not just about discounted drinks; it’s about savoring meticulously crafted cocktails, fine wines, and artisanal beers that dance on your palate. From classic martinis to innovative concoctions prepared by skilled mixologists, every sip is an adventure. The wine list, curated from renowned vineyards, offers a variety that complements the exquisite menu. My wife enjoyed sipping on Athens Spritz’s—Otto’s Athens Vermouth, kretarakimeli, lemon tonic—for the evening, while the rest of us enjoyed perfectly chilled glasses of crisp Gai’a—White, Assyrtiko, Peloponnese, Greece 2020.
Pair your drinks with delectable bites from the specially curated Happy Hour menu. IRIS takes pride in its culinary creations, using locally sourced, fresh ingredients to craft dishes that are both visually stunning and incredibly delicious. While you can order from the main dinner menu, we enjoyed the small plates Pikilia—autumn tzatziki, roasted eggplant, hummus, whipped feta, pita & endive; Oysters—mystic oysters, pink peppercorn mignonette, horseradish; Trahana Tots-dried porcini seasoning; and steaming heaps of Hand Cut French Fries—lemon, oregano.
Happy Hour at IRIS Restaurant NYC is not merely a time of discounted drinks; it’s a celebration of life, friendship, and the art of indulgence. It’s where you can unwind, indulge your senses, and create memories that linger long after the evening ends. So, the next time you find yourself in the heart of the Big Apple, raise your glass at IRIS and toast to happiness – a sentiment that's always on the menu. Cheers! 🥂
