NYC Bagel Bliss: Tompkins Square Bagel Review
Tompkins Square Bagel
Renowned for its artisanal hand-rolled bagels, Tompkins Square Bagel will give you the quintessential New York bagel fix that both NYC locals and tourists crave. Their original bagel shop is located in the East Village but with a couple of new shops opening recently, we found ourselves visiting the NoMad Tompkins Square Bagel location. Expect a line but don’t worry, the service is steady and efficient. They offer a variety of specialty sandwiches and also 40 varieties of cream cheese so you can customize your order as you like.
Lynette ordered her go-to bagel order of toasted everything bagel with lox cream cheese. The bagel had a great texture with perfect air pockets. Jack had the BEC on an everything bagel. The oversized bagels at Tompkins Square Bagels make the perfect bookends for a bagel sandwich and you can see the nice fluffy eggs and pull of perfectly melted cheese.
I ordered off of the bagel sandwich menu and decided to go with The Garret Jones on a sesame bagel. It was good and built with Egg whites, chicken sausage, onion, spinach. It was good and most importantly, the bagels themselves were great.
NYC bagels are iconic for a reason, and if you're ever in the area, swing by Tompkins Square bagel for a taste that speaks for itself.
