Summer with Chef Seis: Favorite Summer Recipes
Another long weekend is here and we’re going strong with celebrating summer. Sharing a couple of my favorite summer recipes to enjoy the long, warm, free days of summer…
As a private chef, I’ve perfected some delicious summer cocktails to enjoy outdoors by the pool or on the deck as the sun slowly sets. One of my favorites is the paloma. It’s light, bright and fresh. Made with citrus fruits, tequila, agave and soda water served over ice, this effervescent cocktail is sure to be a summer favorite.
Summer is a great time to really enjoy garden fresh vegetables and herbs. One of my most requested summer dishes is the heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad with balsamic dressing. Pro tip, cut and salt your heirloom tomatoes in advance. Giving them time to absorb the salt really enhances the flavor of the salad. The basil adds a nice brightness to this dish. Perfect for enjoying at home or bring to share at a summer gathering.
It doesn’t feel like summer until you’ve got the grill going and are enjoying corn on the cob with grill marks and some delicious grilled fish and meats. My son loves chicken and grilled chicken with my recipe for Kochujang sauce marinade is a home run at every summer celebration. For full instruction on this summer recipe hit this link.
My key lime pie is another all time high for special requests! Recently, I was commissioned to make four key lime pies for a summer soiree and they were a hit. Anything with a bright citrus taste is desirable in the summer because it gives you that cool and fresh feeling. This delicious key lime pie recipe is a sure fire hit for delicious summer dessert.
