Favorite Fall Recipes

It is officially autumn with autumnal equinox happening on September 22nd and so I thought a great way to honor the new season would be to give you a roundup of some of my favorite fall recipes. Here we go, just click the item to be directed to the full recipe.

Perfect Fall Snack Recipes

Now that football season is officially on—and in 2020 fashion overlapping with the NBA playoffs—, my favorite time to have some good snacks around are on game days. It’s pumpkin season and the harvests of the local pumpkin patches are everywhere to be seen in the Hamptons. While everyone is excited to carve a pumpkin, as a chef I get excited to gut the pumpkin and transform the raw pumpkin seeds into a delicious sweet and spicy roasted pumpkin seed snack. It’s tasty and full of health benefits so it’s a guilt free snack to enjoy. I’m also including my recipe for Queso Dip. This rich and creamy dip is perfect for dunking a few tortilla chips into on game day and it refrigerates well, making a re-heat and serve simple for the next snack time.

Perfect Fall Breakfast Recipe

With school in full swing, breakfast time is our family’s favorite part of the morning. It gives us a chance to sit without interruption and enjoy each other’s company before we all go off in our separate directions. This recipe for French Toast casserole is perfect on a chilly autumn morning. The smell of cinnamon fills the kitchen and gets everyone awake and ready to start the day.

Fall Cocktail

Everyone is enjoying the outdoors now, more than ever. Get your outdoor wood fire burning and enjoy this recipe for blood orange whiskey smash while enjoying the cool autumn air.

The Perfect Fall Dinner Recipes

There are so many great foods and recipes to enjoy this time of year, and we try to fit them all in on Thanksgiving! Generally I find that diving into German recipes around Oktoberfest is a great way to enjoy the season. For Sunday night football my wife prepared a delicious German meal for us so I used that as a little inspiration to set a menu below here for you that everyone will enjoy. I also included seasonal favorites, butternut squash and Brussels Sprouts.

Favorite Fall Dessert

Again, there are so many great desserts to enjoy with pumpkin and apple season here. Yesterday I took the family apple picking so apple recipes are on my mind and this recipe for apple crostata with caramel sauce is delicious and will blow you away. It’s like an elevated caramel apple with buttery crust!
