Labor Day week/weekend—summer’s last hurray—is upon us and Hampton Chutney Co. is a place you should venture to for a bite, should you find yourself winding the summer season down in the Hamptons. One of our family favorites for takeaway or a quick bite in the Hamptons, is Hampton Chutney Co. It’s tricky to find a lot of food diversity in the Hamptons, so when we crave cuisine with Indian flavors, Hamptons Chutney Co. is definitely our go to spot.
Located in East Hampton, Hampton Chutney is counter service with indoor and spacious outdoor seating. The star of the menu are the dosas made from rice and lentils and filled with several choices of fillings—from classic masala to curry chicken, to arugula with avocado and cheese, there’s something for every taste. Pictured is the Kalamata Olives—tomatoes, onions, arugula, goat cheese. Dosas are served with your choice of house made chutney. The mango chutney and cilantro chutney are our go-to orders. To drink, our 13 year old can’t get enough of the mango lassi which is a nice and cool beverage to chase a spicy dosa.
