Hamptons Guide: Montauk Bluffs
June is the perfect time with temperate weather in the Hamptons for locals and tourists alike to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. While it’s still a little chilly to hit the beaches, there’s plenty of exploring to do along the many hiking trails in the area. Today I ventured as far east as possible—before falling into the ocean—to hike the trails and stunning bluffs of Montauk State Parks. As an access point, I chose Camp Hero State Park. From here, you can hike to the Montauk Lighthouse and up to Seal haulout trail. All the while, you’ll get stunning forest and ocean views.
Admissions: $8 per vehicle (ticket valid to park at Hither Hills State Park and Montauk Point State Park)
