Atlanta Guide: Redbird
ADDRESS | 1198 Howell Mill Rd, Atlanta, GA 30318
I always like to get recommendations from locals of where to eat when visiting a new city. Friends of a friend recommended that for a nicer dinner we head to the Westside and dine at Redbird Restaurant. Redbird’s menu offers small plates with a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free, options making it friendly to dietary restrictions. They offer a la carte mains and a la carte sides. Overall, the food was very good—see below what we ordered. The texture of the desserts could use more finesse. The service was somewhat lacking. We ordered a bottle of sparkling rose and it was brought to the table and set down without an ice bucket. I noticed other tables had ice buckets, but I had to request one before it was brought. The server seemed rushed and dismissive despite the traffic not being too heavy for a Friday night.
The service aside—because you may luck out and get a better server—the food was tasty and the rustic ambiance made for an overall nice meal out.
