With pristine beaches, open fields and forests of trees, summer in the Hamptons involves a lot of outdoor activities. After a few outings of mini golf, stand up paddle boarding, biking, and a lot of time at the beach, we decided we were ready for an indoor activity. My family has been playing with acrylics on canvas so we thought an afternoon at Parrish Art Museum would be a perfect way to find some inspiration. Located just off of Montauk Highway in Water Mill, NY, Parrish Art Museum is a large and airy space. Here you’ll move from room to room to view their permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. In addition to the art, the museum boasts a cafe where on a warm summer day you can enjoy a cold beverage and snack indoors or outdoors (which we did and I recommend especially during COVID) overlooking the sculpture gardens.

Be sure to spend time exploring the outdoor sculptures.
Parrish Art Museum was hit for everyone in the family. We really enjoyed it. My sons even excitedly returned to exploring the exhibits while my wife was in the gift shop and I was washing my hands. I highly recommend this activity for just about all ages. Enjoy!
