Marrakech Guide: Four Seasons Resort Marrakech
Four Seasons Resort Marrakech
Address | Av. de la Ménara, Marrakech, Morocco
Our Marrakech guide begins with review of the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech. When planning a trip to Marrakech you’ll find a lot of beautiful riads available of which I have heard many good things. For us, in addition to taking in cultural sites of Marrakech, and day adventures around Morocco, my wife wanted this surprise birthday trip to include high-end quality rest and relaxation à la White Lotus style.
My wife had arranged with the Four Seasons to drive us from the airport to the resort in an Audi Q7. After an overnight flight with an early morning layover in Madrid, it was a smooth, comfortable, and chaotic free transition from airport to resort.
The architecture and design in and around Marrakech is light and airy. Coupled with the palm trees and desert flora and fauna, you’re immediately immersed in the perfect North African escape. Behind the gates and up the long driveway to the Four Seasons Resort, you’ll be welcomed to courtyard adorned with floral arrangements, high ceilings and openair passageways.
We arranged a beautiful suite with a large balcony overlooking the gardens. Our 13 year old son spent many hours lounging and napping in the open air. Of course, the room had a Nespresso machine—perfect for a post jetlag jolt— and mini bar. Each day fresh fruit and desserts were brought to our room.
Four Seasons Marrakech Dinning
The Four Seasons Marrakech has three restaurants: Quattro, Azzera, and Inara. Azzera is an outdoor dining experience across from the quiet pool. They serve lunch and pool service menus. When we first arrived at the resort, sitting under the palm trees for a light lunch and drinks was the perfect welcome.
After a late dinner with birthday cocktails the evening before, a late breakfast at Azzera with a spicy detox juice made for the perfect refresh.
We did not dine at Inara, but we had a dinner and breakfast at Quattro. Quattro is an indoor/outdoor dining experience. For both meals, we choose to sit outside, again, surrounded by palm trees and the beautiful fountains. The menu is Italian and we enjoyed truffle ravioli, seafood, pasta, and of course, truffle French fries. The cocktails were creative and tasty and they offer a nice wine selection.
Of course, you can also have room service. Our first morning was my birthday morning so my wife arranged for a birthday breakfast served in our room with Bellini’s made bedside. It was the perfect start to the day.
Four Seasons Marrakech: Amenities
Our favorite amenity was the quiet pool. Each day we had a ritual swim with poolside smoothies, coffee or wine. It was the perfect unwind after a day of activities and pre-dinner. I enjoyed shooting hoops, playing ping pong and air hockey in the young adult center with my son. We also availed ourselves of the gym facilities each day which were really beautiful with fresh mint tea and cucumber infused water service. There’s no shortage of activities and entertainment at the resort.
Impeccable Service: The chat function of the Four Seasons app and the constant attention to detail of the staff at the Four Seasons made for a really enjoyable stay. Each day delightful treats were brought to our room. It was nice to try some local items like the Casablanca lager.
Happy Birthday! We went out for a really lovely birthday dinner but the restaurant failed to deliver on the special birthday arrangements she had made for me prior to our reservation. It was a very welcome surprise the next day to be delivered a delicious hazelnut cake, roses, and champagne curtesy of the Four Seasons which made up for the previous evening’s oversight (which was totally unrelated to the Four Seasons service).
We all really enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons resort Marrakech. Our stay could not have been better.
